ADS-B Plugin connects to a Dump1090 server through it’s TCP port, and optionally, the data JSON available in most webservers which come with an open source Dump1090 server. There are many ways to get such data openly available. Dump 1090 does not come with ADS-B Plugin. Your live aircraft feed can be done inexpensively! A $30 USB software defined radio is often all you need! But, there are many more comprehensive solutions available on the market.

ADS-B Plugin does not merely place the entity at the reported location, it leverages MACE’s aerodynamic modelling to “dead reckon” between updates, creating a smooth flight, if the updates are consistently received.

Additional Features:

  • ADS-B has a registry of aircraft types by their ICAO code. This new version allows you to reassign and remember the new aircraft!

  • Augmented Reality Calibration: allows the user to perfectly align the reported aircraft position with the real position.

  • JSON connection: dump1090 servers can report the aircraft callsign, if available. That becomes the callsign in MACE.

  • Store and share your new aircraft assignments to an XML!
